You may find many prospective buyers to be impulsive and get put off by the most trivial things. Afterall, not every property on the market will be exactly the way they hoped it would be. You may not be able to turn your house into a dream home for everyone but there are some grievances you may address. Let us take a look at some house features that may be keeping buyers away.
Bright colors
Many buyers fancy seeing neural colors during an open house. You as a seller may prefer to have bright colors showing on the walls but it may be too noisy for your visitors. You need not repaint every room in the house, but it is better to be moderate about the presentation to not come off as ostensible.
Excessive clutter
The more cramped your house is the smaller it will look to buyers. Buyers generally prefer a space that is spacious and free of mess. This way they can more easily imagine their furniture and other belongings in the place they may later call home. As a result, you must clean up and de-personalize all rooms before scheduling an open house.
Pet presence
You may love your pets, but you would not know if people visiting your house would be fond of them. If you do not plan to be present during a showing, consider taking your pets with you. Otherwise, you could inform your real estate agent and crate them, safely and securely.
Lack of parking
One way to make prospective buyers feel welcome is to offer ample space for parking. Make sure that the driveway is clear and walkways free of hazards. Last thing you want is for guests to trip over any branches lying in the walkway.
